RECLAIM YOUR POWER AND PURPOSE

Welcome to the exploration of your adversity!

The passion you set aside is not gone- it is waiting for you on the other side of change. Congratulations on taking the first step in retrieving it!

A profound author who writes about “Wounded Healers” expresses what my practice is all about. Mr. Noumen writes, ” Our service will not be perceived as authentic unless it comes from a heart wounded by the suffering about which we speak”.  Fortunately for my clients, I can attest to personally experiencing almost every transition they may encounter.

I am blessed to have a loving husband of 40 years and six children. Having grown up with eight siblings, I have vast experience in family dynamics. I earned my Doctorate in Education in 2019 and served as a teacher and administrator for fifteen years. After leaving my  education career, I explored Life Coaching as a way to continue to help others, working on accreditation through the Institute of Life Coaching (ILC) while also earning my Cognitive Behavior Therapist Certification (CBT) and becoming a Master Trainer in Neuro-Linguistic training (NLP).  In hopes of helping a family member with substance abuse, this year I became a certified facilitator for Smart Recovery, both for people who suffer with addiction, but also for friends and family members.

With a specialty dealing with Middle/High School students and families, as well as adults transitioning in relationships, employment, and personal loss, I am well-equipped to help anyone looking for assistance in school issues, loss, transitioning, or searching for life purpose, to name a few.

It is only when the desire to change exceeds the desire to remain the same, that we begin the incredible discovery of “self” and recognize our enormous potential. I am thrilled to work alongside you as I share the tools to navigate change with clarity and confidence.

How do we accomplish this life-altering exploration?

Volunteer Work

It is an extreme pleasure to have been selected as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children and youth in the system. Often, as a CASA, I advocate for these youth as their Education Decision Maker (EDM) and for their overall well-being, including but not limited to their housing, physical and developmental needs, as well as their psychological welfare. This appointment is by far one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences with which I have been blessed. For more information or to join this wonderful organization, please follow this CASA link

Since December, 2023 I have participated as a Youth Aid Panelist, whose responsibility is to work with first time offending youth and their families, helping them to choose a more successful path and to avoid a permanent police record.

I am also a Team Chair for The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA-CESS) which performs peer evaluation and regional accreditation of public and private elementary and secondary schools.

Perhaps my greatest blessings have come from counseling those suffering from grief, some from the loss of a loved one, others from struggling to discern their life’s purpose, or still others struggling with a family member with a substance abuse disorder.
